EPA National Wetland Condition Assessment and the DNREC Wetland Monitoring and Assessment Program
The Delaware Wetland Monitoring and Assessment Program is participating in the EPA’s first-ever National Wetland Condition Assessment for which we have 18 sites randomly distributed across the state. The field data collection will occur nationally during the 2011 growing season. The data analysis will occur in 2012 and the results will be reported on by eco regions in 2013. The survey will provide new information regarding the stressors that are most associated with degraded wetland health to inform decision making on how to better protect our Nation’s water resources.
