What can I do to help Delaware's wetlands and watershed?

Whether your property is in a suburban, urban, or rural landscape you can adopt several watershed and wetland friendly behaviors that will reduce your impact on the waters and land downstream of you.  Check out some of the simple changes, and the more dedicated changes, you can make each day to do your part in keeping Delaware's waterways healthy.

“We all live in a watershed! Watersheds are the land areas that drain to water bodies like ponds, streams, estuaries, and oceans. What we do on the land affects the quality of those waters. To protect water from nonpoint source pollution, it is important to think about management actions to improve water quality on a watershed scale." - DNREC Watershed Assessment Section
