Welcome to the Division of Air Quality's Air Monitoring Site.
Air Quality Monitoring operates a series of monitoring stations throughout the State of Delaware. This monitoring network measures criteria pollutants as defined by the U.S. EPA. Criteria pollutants have primary ambient air quality standards designed to protect public health, including an adequate margin of safety to protect sensitive populations such as childern and ashmatics. The criteria pollutants being monitored are:
- Ozone - O3
- Carbon Monoxide - CO
- Nitrogen Dioxide - NO2
- Sulfur Dioxide - SO2
- Particulate Matter (PM) - PM2.5/PM10
The data collected from these monitoring stations is stored in a central data system and reported to the EPA's Air Now website and EPA's National AQS database. Air Quality Monitoirng also undertakes special studies to address concerns of citizens.
Air Quality Monitoring is committed to providing the citizens of Delaware with the most current and accurate information available.
