LEGAL NOTICE

Well Permits

Moore Farms Inc. needs to construct an irrigation well that is proposed to be 100’ deep and 10-inch in diameter.  The site is east of Bethel road and North of Rt 166.  The well is located 2 miles SE of Gumboro in Sussex County.  The desired capacity of this well is 800 gpm.

Philip Hudson needs to construct an irrigation well that is proposed to be 100’ deep and 12-inch in diameter.  The site is east of Little Hill Road and North of Carey’s Camp Road.  The site is located 4 miles NW of Gumboro in Sussex County.  The desired capacity of this well is 850 gpm.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 15 days from this notice.  A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probably impact.
