LEGAL NOTICE

Well Permits

Marvin Hitchens needs to construct an irrigation well that is proposed to be 80’ deep and 12-inch in diameter.  The site is east of Whaleys rd and south of Sam Hill rd.  The well is located 4 miles E of Laurel in sussex County.  The desired capacity of this well is 1000 gpm.

Magnolia Farms LLC needs to construct two irrigation wells that are proposed to be 75’ deep and 8-inch in diameter.  The first well is located west of Rt 113 and 1750’east of Clapham rd.  The second well is west of Rt 113 and 2375’ west of Clapham rd.  The third well is 165’ and 8 inch in diameter.  It’s located 1050 south of Clapham  rd.  The location is located ½ mile S of Magnolia in Kent County.  The combined desired capacity of these wells is 1100 gpm.

Clifton Parker Jr. needs to construct two irrigation wells that are proposed to be 120’ deep and 10-inch in diameter.  The site is south of Parker Rd and north of McCabe rd.  The wells are located 1& 1/2 miles NW of Selbyville in Sussex County.  The combined desired capacity of these wells is 1600 gpm.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 15 days from this notice.  A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probably impact.
