PROPOSED PLAN OF REMEDIAL ACTION FOR THE 2110 NORTHEAST BOULEVARD SITE (DE-1528)
The Department invites public comment on a proposal to clean up the 2110 Northeast Boulevard Site located in Wilmington. The 0.22-acre Site consists of an unoccupied building with a parking area and a small grassy back lot in a mixed residential/commercial area.
The proposed cleanup includes preventing exposure to the contaminated surface soil by capping the Site, removing the heating oil underground storage tank, removing the asbestos-containing materials, and prohibiting the use of groundwater as drinking water.
Details of the Proposed Plan are available at the Wilmington library, at the office of DNREC-SIRS (391 Lukens Drive, New Castle, DE, 19720), or online at
http://www.dnrec.delaware.gov/whs/awm/SIRB/Pages/SIRBPlans.aspx. The comment period ends on February 13, 2013. For additional information, please contact Stephanie Scholl, Project Manager, or Robert Newsome, Public Information Officer, at (302)395-2600.
