                                 LEGAL NOTICE

Agricultural Utilization Permit - Request for Renewal – Job Site Pumping, LLC.

Job Site Pumping, LLC. has applied for renewal of their existing agricultural utilization (AGU) permit, under Part V of the Department’s Guidance and Regulations Governing the Land Treatment of Wastes.  The existing AGU permit allows Job Site Pumping, LLC. to operate a land treatment system for the agricultural utilization of grease trap waste from food preparation establishments.  The operation involves the surface application of limited quantities of grease trap waste onto a forage crop at agronomic rates.  The grease trap waste is required to undergo periodic analysis for a list of specific parameters including nutrient content prior to application.  Nutrient content of the grease trap waste limits the application rate.  The application of grease trap waste containing sanitary wastewater is not permitted.

The application site is comprised of approved portions of a parcel totaling approximately 4 acres of farmland, owned by Michael T. Evans and located on Coachman Lane approximately 3 miles northeast of DelMar, Delaware (Tax Parcel #5-35 14.00 23.05).

Part V of the Department’s Guidance and Regulations Governing the Land Treatment of Wastes allows for such activity pending public notice.

Copies of the proposed permit above are available by contacting:

A public hearing on the above application will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received by 4:30 p.m. November 10, 2017.  A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
