FINAL PLAN OF REMEDIAL ACTION FOR THE
BALTIMORE AIR COIL SITE (DE-1501)
The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of the Baltimore Air Coil Site located in Milford. The Site has been occupied by Baltimore Air coil Company, Inc. since 1975 manufacturing cooling towers and evaporative condensers requires an Environmental Covenant, Long-Term Stewardship (LTS) Plan including groundwater monitoring, and a Contaminated Materials Management Plan (CMMP). The Environmental Covenant must include land use restrictions (non-residential types only); limitation of groundwater withdrawal; and compliance with the LTS Plan and the CMMP.
DNREC issued public notice of the Proposed Plan for the Baltimore Air Coil Site on October 1, 2017. There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Proposed Plan. Details of the Final Plan are available at the office of DNREC at 89 Kings Highways, Dover, DE 1990, or online at: http://www.nav.dnrec.delaware.gov/DEN3/
