DNREC – Groundwater Discharges

LEGAL NOTICE

On-Site Wastewater Treatment and Disposal System Construction Permit

Artesian Wastewater Management Inc. has submitted renewal application for a construction permit for an on-site wastewater treatment and disposal system to serve the Island Farm Regional Wastewater System.  The system has been designed to accommodate 562,000 gallons per day of wastewater.  The site is located at the intersection of Cool Spring Road and Log Cabin Road, Sussex County, tax parcel # 2-35-27.0-12.01.

On-Site Wastewater Treatment and Disposal System Operation Permit

Artesian Wastewater Management Inc. has submitted renewal application for an operation permit for an on-site wastewater treatment and disposal system to serve the Beaver Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant.  The system has been designed to accommodate 150,000 gallons per day of wastewater.  The site is located at 26233 Maple Ln, Sussex County, tax parcel # 2-35-30.0-24.0.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 15 days from this notice.  A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
