Perdue AgriRecycle, LLC Application for Composting Permit
The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (“DNREC”) has received a permit application from Perdue AgriRecycle, LLC for a composting facility located at 28338 Enviro Way in Seaford. The applicant seeks to accept and process hatchery waste, dissolved air flotation (“DAF”) sludge and cake from wastewater treatment plants at poultry processing plants and soy bean processing plants, poultry litter, process water, and clean wood chips and successfully produce and market quality compost.
The complete application is available for review during business hours at the DNREC’s Solid & Hazardous Waste Management Section office at 89 Kings Highway in Dover and the Seaford District Library located at 600 North Market Street Extended in Seaford. A public hearing concerning the request for a composting permit will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for such a hearing within fifteen (15) days from the date of this notice, ending May 31, 2018. A request for a hearing shall be in writing and must show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
