Subaqueous Lands Permit Application

Robert and Bonnie Kijewski (3-32-2.00-59.00) - To authorize a 5 by 10 foot long linear dock in James Branch at 12057 Laurel Road, Laurel, Sussex County, DE

Nanticoke Shores Associates (234-24.00-35.00) – To construct 2 rip-rap revetments, consisting of a 385 foot long revetment in a lagoon adjacent to Lingo Cove and a 325 foot long revetment in a lagoon located on the west side of Bay View Lane, in unnamed lagoons connecting to the Rehoboth Bay in Rehoboth Shores adjacent to Bay View Lane, Millsboro, Sussex County, DE

Robert M. Reed (3-34-14.09-6.00) – To remove an existing dock and to construct a 4 by 15 foot long pier and a 5 by 30 foot long dock in the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal at 57 Tidewaters Road, Henlopen Acres, Sussex County, DE

Subaqueous Lands Lease, Permit, Wetlands and Water Quality Application

Seagrass Plantation Community Association, Inc. (134-7.00-109.00 and 109.01) - To create a shoreline stabilization project to include six phases: Phase 1 to include a channel configuration structure with 68 total linear feet of bulkheaded wingwalls,  ≈4 cubic yards of cobble, 11 cubic yards of shell bags; to fill with 16 cubic yards of sand for beach nourishment and install 2 cubic yards of a shell bag toe; to fill the existing sluice with 17 cubic yards of concrete rubble, 12 cubic yards of sand fill and plant the top of the sluice across 471 square feet with Spartina alterniflora plugs. Phase 2 to install 1,277 square feet of a wave attenuation device reef located 28 feet channelward of the mean low water line. Phase 3 to install 686 square feet of an oyster castle / shell bag reef located 115 feet channelward of the mean low water line. Phase 4 to line the intertidal edge along 50 linear feet of shoreline with 5 cubic yards of shellbags, filling with 55 cubic yards of sand fill and planting 1,000 square feet with Spartina alterniflora plugs.  Phase 5 to include installing 22 cubic yards of shellbag toe along 201 linear feet of shoreline. Phase 6 to include activity in State-regulated wetlands by regrading 1,626 cubic yards of the existing concrete debris, filling with 81 cubic yards of sand fill with and to plant 1,376 square feet of Spartina alterniflora plugs and to line 86 linear feet of shoreline with 7 cubic yards of a shellbag toe.  The shoreline stabilization project is located on the Indian River Bay located northwest of Seagrass Ct, Dagsboro, Seagrass Plantation, Sussex County, DE

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 20 days from this notice.  A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
