Pine Tree Corners Transfer Station Renewal Application
for Solid Waste Permit SW-06/04
Notice is hereby given by the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control that the Delaware Solid Waste Authority (DSWA) has applied for renewal of its solid waste permit SW-06/04 for its solid waste transfer station, located at 276 Pine Tree Road in Townsend. The facility is requesting the permit renewal only. There are no changes to the maximum daily limit of 1,100 tons per day, and no change to the weekly maximum limit of 6,600 tons.
The renewal application and associated documents are available for review during business hours at DNREC’s Solid & Hazardous Waste Management Section office at 89 Kings Highway, Dover and at the Appoquinimink Library located at 651 North Broad Street in Middletown, during normal hours of operation. A public hearing on the above permit modification will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC, in care of David Perrego, receives a meritorious request for a hearing by December 17th, which is within fifteen (15) days from the date of this notice. A request for a hearing shall be in writing and shall state the nature of the issues to be raised at the hearing. It must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the activity’s probable impact.
