PROPOSED PLAN OF REMEDIAL ACTION FOR THE
SOUTH GARASCHES LANE SITE (OPERABLE UNIT-2) (DE-1681)
The Department invites public comment on a proposal to clean-up Operable Unit 2 of the South Garasches Lane Site located in Wilmington. The Site, historically filled marshlands and used as a means of automotive conveyance to adjacent the commercial properties (including salvage yards and automotive repair facilities) requires the removal and disposal of polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB)-impacted soils; construction of a cap; and, the recording of an Environmental Covenant restricting property use types, interference with remedy, limiting groundwater withdrawal, compliance with the Long-Term Stewardship (LTS) Plan, and compliance with the Contaminated Materials Management Plan (CMMP).
