FINAL PLAN OF REMEDIAL ACTION FOR THE
PARCEL X2 (OPERABLE UNIT 2) OF SOUTH GARASCHES LANE (DE-1681) SITE
The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of Parcel X2, also known as Operable Unit 2 (OU-2), of the South Garasches Lane Site located in Wilmington. The Site, historically filled marshlands and used as a means of automotive conveyance to adjacent the commercial properties (including salvage yards and automotive repair facilities) requires the removal and disposal of polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB)-impacted soils; construction of a cap; and, the recording of an Environmental Covenant restricting property use types, interference with remedy, limiting groundwater withdrawal, compliance with the Long-Term Stewardship (LTS) Plan, and compliance with the Contaminated Materials Management Plan (CMMP).
DNREC issued public notice of the Proposed Plan for OU-2 of the South Garasches Lane Site on December 5, 2018. There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Proposed Plan.
