FINAL PLAN OF REMEDIAL ACTION FOR THE
WEST FOURTH STREET AND DELAMORE PLACE SITE (DE-1682)
The Department invites public comment on a proposal to clean-up the West Fourth Street and Delamore Place Site located in Wilmington The Site consists of nine (9) tax parcels located at 1500, 1502, 1504, 1506, 1508, 1510, 1512, and 1514 W. Fourth Street and 300 Delamore Place and occupies approximately 0.38 acres. The Site was previously used for residential and commercial businesses including a dry cleaner and a plumbing company. The remedy will require the following: Placement of a cap consisting of hardscaping or concrete and/or a minimum of two (2) feet of clean fill above a marker fabric, recording an environmental covenant restricting digging and the use of groundwater, and submittals for DNREC’s approval of a Remedial Action Work Plan, Contaminated Materials Management Plan and a Long Term Stewardship Plan.
DNREC issued public notice of the Proposed Plan for the West Fourth Street and Delamore Place Site on December 23, 2018. There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Proposed Plan.
