DNREC – Groundwater Discharges

LEGAL NOTICE

Non-Hazardous Liquid Waste Transporters Permit

S&H Farms, Inc. has applied to the Groundwater Discharges Section for a Non-Hazardous Liquid Waste Transporters Permit to transport non-hazardous liquid waste (barley washwater) to be disposed of at out-of-state permitted facilities.

City of Rehoboth Beach has applied to the Groundwater Discharges Section for a renewal of Non-Hazardous Liquid Waste Transporters Permit DE OH-135 which allows for the transport of municipal biosolids to be land applied at the James Wells Farm (tax parcel 2-30-14.00-192.00) in accordance with State of Delaware AGU 1502-S-03 (and subsequent amendments).
 
On-Site Wastewater Treatment and Disposal System

William Sammons, Sr has submitted renewal application for an operation permit for an on-site wastewater treatment and disposal system to serve the Deep Branch Family Campground.  The system has been designed to accommodate 8,630 gallons per day of wastewater.  The site is located at 26633 Zion Church Rd, Sussex County, tax parcel # 2-35-08.00-0035.10.

Camp Barnes Inc has submitted renewal application for an operation permit for an on-site wastewater treatment and disposal system to serve the Camp Barnes Summer Camp.  The system has been designed to accommodate 3,500 gallons per day of wastewater.  The site is located at 37171 Camp Barnes Rd, Sussex County, tax parcel # 1-34-20.00-0010.00.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 15 days from this notice.  A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
