LEGAL NOTICE

DNREC – Surface Water Discharges Section

Wastewater Facilities Construction Permit Applications

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Division of Water Resources, hereby gives notice that permit applications have been received from:

The Sussex County Engineering Department to construct wastewater collection and transmission facilities (sewers, two pump stations (#320 & #321) with controls, piping and accessories, and two force mains) within the Angola Neck Sanitary Sewer District, an area of Lewes and Rehoboth Hundred, Sussex County, Delaware, along Camp Arrowhead Road (County Road 279) and Angola Road (County Road 277), east/southeast of John J. Williams Highway (DE Route 24); and

The Sussex County Engineering Department to install approximately 14,000 linear feet of force main with appurtenances along Mount Joy Road (SCR 297), Cannon Road (SCR 307) and Inland Bay Road (SCR 306), Indian River Hundred, Sussex County, Delaware; and

The Town of Georgetown to construct  a regional wastewater pumping station with controls, piping and accessories and a force main; the pumping station is to be located on the south side of Delaware Route 9 near its intersection with Asbury Road, Georgetown Hundred, Sussex County, Delaware; and

R. Wayne and Barbara J. Gault to install a grinder pump and sanitary sewer to connect their home located on the west side of Upper King Road (Alt. U.S. 13) to the Town of Camden’s central sewer system; and

The Sussex County Engineering Department to construct 24,800 linear feet of gravity sewer, two pump stations (#326 & #327) with controls, piping and accessories, and 6,500 linear feet of force main within the Oak Orchard Sanitary Sewer District; the sewer, one of the pump stations and a section of force main will serve the Captains Grant subdivision; the other pump station will be located on the north side of Chiefs Road at its intersection with Oak Orchard Road (DE Route 5); the force main from the Chiefs Road station will run along Oak Orchard Road and Mount Joy Road (SCR 297), to a point approximately 600 feet west of their crossing of John J. Williams Highway (DE Route 24), Indian River Hundred, Sussex County, Delaware.

A public hearing concerning the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious request for a hearing is received on or before November 5, 2009. A request for a public hearing shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
