DNREC - Wetlands and Subaqueous Lands Section

Subaqueous Lands Permit Applications

 
1.  Stan Garber (Tax Parcel # 5-33-20.09-41.00) To replace 135 feet of bulkhead and a 5 foot by 20 foot dock; install a 5 foot by 40 foot dock and a personal watercraft lift in a lagoon at 37839 Cedar Road, Keenwick on the Bay, Selbyville, Sussex County, DE.
  
2.  New Castle County Department of Special Services - (linear project) To replace two sanitary sewer interceptors with a single 33 to 42 inch diameter by 78 foot interceptor crossing under Shellpot Creek and stabilize 80 linear feet of shoreline with plantings and/or riprap at Bringhurst Woods Park, Wilmington, New Castle County, DE.

3.  The Division of Fish and Wildlife - To repair an existing earthen dike adjacent to Delaware Bay by filling two 10 foot by 20 foot breached areas, placing 300 linear feet of rip rap, using 162 linear feet of hydro seeding bank stabilization, and removing eroded fill from 1500 square feet of tidal wetlands, at the Augustine Wildlife Area in Port Penn, New Castle County, DE.

4.  3-D Builders Inc. (Tax Parcel # 2-34-17.00-60) - To construct 42 linear feet of rock toe sill, 33 linear feet of rock revetment, plant 350 square feet of wetlands vegetation, construct a rock splash apron at the end of a storm drain, resurface an existing concrete boat ramp, and place four new piling for a boat lift, in Hopkins Prong, at the end of Big Oak Lane, off of CR 298, Millsboro, Sussex County, DE.  

5.  NSBM, LLC (Tax Parcel # 234-7.00-108.00) – To remove the structures of an existing marina and reconstruct thirty 4 by 20 foot piers creating 60 slips, to replace the existing 24 by 43 foot boat ramp, install 850 linear feet of rip-rap stabilization, and dredge 4,825 cubic yards of material to a depth of 3.45 feet below mean low water in Love Creek, and to dispose of the material on site, on the south-west side of SR24 at 20833 Boat Hole Blvd, Lewes, Sussex County, DE.

6.  US Fish and Wildlife Service (Tax Parcel #Kent 5-00-17400-02-6500-00001, Sussex Co. 3-30-3.00-8.01 & 8.02) -  To mechanically excavate 55 cubic yards of gravely material from an existing oxbow channel of the Mispillion River and deposit the material on the adjacent uplands at the distal end of Lynn’s Lane, Kent and Sussex Counties, DE.

7.  Bayside at Bethany Lakes (Tax Parcel # 134-9.00-37.01) – To maintenance dredge to a depth of 2.4 feet below mean low water, 300 cubic yards of material and disposing of it in a lagoon off Seaside Drive, and to construct a 150 foot long crib wall, a 21 foot long breakwater and a 15 foot long breakwater at Bayside at Bethany Lakes in Whites Creek at 38335 Old Mill Way, off of Cedar Neck Road, Ocean View, Sussex County, DE.
8.  James Swan (Tax Parcel # 533-12.00-80.00) – To install two 44 linear foot sections of 36-inch diameter culvert pipe under Rodney Lane, to install two 60 linear foot sections of 36-inch diameter culvert pipe under Herring Way and to excavate 24 cubic yards of material to widen a tributary to Dirrickson Creek south of Dirrickson Creek and east of Old Mill Bridge Road, Selbyville, Sussex County, DE. 
9.  James Walters (Tax Parcel # 134-7.00-78.02) – To construct a 4 by 75 foot pier extension , a 6 by 25 foot dock and 2 mooring pilings for a boat lift, attached to an existing pier in the Indian River at 33457 Calcutta Cove, Dagsboro, Sussex County, DE. 
10.  Port Lewes Association of Unit Owners Inc. (Tax Parcel # 335-5.00-5.00) – To repair 120 support pilings for a pier by jacketing and bracing the pilings in Breakwater Harbor, Delaware Bay, at Port Lewes north of Cape Henlopen Drive, Lewes, Sussex County, DE.

Wetlands and Subaqueous Lands Permits
 
1.  David Green (Tax Parcel # 1-34-5-362) - To construct a 3 foot by 78 foot walkway over State regulated wetlands, a 4 foot by 69 foot pier and a 6 foot by 30 foot dock with a boat lift in Beach Cove at Lot 53, Bayberry Court, Ocean View, Sussex County, DE.
 
Map Change
 
1.  M. Daniel Wien (Tax Parcel # 2-34-25-2) To reclassify 4,570 square feet of land currently mapped as tidal marsh wetlands (designated as “M” for marsh on State Tidal Wetland Map #DNR058) to a classification of “uplands”, at 25867 Berry Street, Bay City, Long Neck, Sussex County, DE.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 20 days from this notice.  Please indicate in your letter whether your intention is to request a public hearing or whether you are simply providing comments for the Department's consideration.   If a public hearing is desired, please be advised that a public hearing request is deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the project's probable impact.
