LEGAL NOTICE

Well Permits
 
Anne Spicer needs to construct an irrigation well that is 8 inches in diameter casing and 90 feet deep.  The well is to be located approximately 400 feet north of Hummingbird Road and north of Rt 16.  The site is located about a mile east of Ellendale in Sussex County.   The desired capacity of this well is 400 gpm.

Gale Anthony needs to construct an irrigation well that is 8 inches in diameter casing and 54 feet deep.  The well is to be located approximately 800 feet north of Brownsville Road and west of Fox Hunter Road.  The site is located about 4.5 miles south west of Harrington in Kent County.   The desired capacity of this well is 300 gpm.

Doris Larimore needs to construct an irrigation well that is 8 inches in diameter casing and 80 feet deep.  The well is to be located approximately 800 feet north of Muffs Road and north of Rt 59.  The site is located about 4 miles north west of Harrington in Kent County.   The desired capacity of this well is 350 gpm.

Sunset Cove LLC needs to temporarily construct a dewatering system with75 well points that are 20’ deep and 3 feet apart.  This well point system is to install gasoline tanks.  The site is on the corners of Rt 113 and Rt 16 about 2 miles west of Ellendale in Sussex county.  The combined desired capacity of this well system is 375 gpm.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 15 days from this notice.  A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probably impact.
