LEGAL NOTICE DNREC, Office of the Secretary Coastal Zone Act Permit Re: MAGCO, Inc Under the authority of the Coastal Zone Act (7 Del. Code, Chap. 70) and the “Regulations Governing Delaware’s Coastal Zone,” the Secretary of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) has issued a Coastal Zone Act Permit to MAGCO, Inc. MAGCO, Inc. submitted a permit application on May 13, 2009, to relocate an existing sea salt packaging operation from its current location in the Coastal Zone (6200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont) to a site located at 341 Pigeon Point Road, New Castle. A public hearing was held on September 8, 2009, in the DNREC facility at 391 Lukens Drive. The anticipated environmental impacts from this relocation and expansion within the Coastal Zone are primarily air emissions from the expansion of the drying and packaging operation which the applicant will offset with air credits obtained through the Delaware Economic Development Office. Anyone wishing to appeal this decision to the State Coastal Zone Industrial Control Board must do so before November 9, 2009. An appeal form may be acquired by calling Gail Henderson at (302)739-9909. There is a $100 appeal application fee. If no appeal is received within the appeal period, this decision becomes final.
