LEGAL NOTICE

Well Permits
 

Roger Swartzentruber needs to construct an irrigation well that is 8 inches in diameter casing and 80 feet deep.  The well is to be located approximately 50 feet north of Mennonite School Road and north of Rt 16.  The site is located about a mile east of Greenwood in Sussex County.   The desired capacity of this well is 300 gpm.

ERH Properties LLC needs to construct an irrigation well that is 8 inches in diameter casing and 90 feet deep.  The well is to be located approximately 800 feet north of Hill Road and west of Atlanta Road.  The site is located about 4 miles north west of Seaford in Sussex County.   The desired capacity of this well is 500 gpm.

Robert Hunsberger needs to construct an irrigation well that is 8 inches in diameter casing and 90 feet deep.  The well is to be located approximately 800 feet north of Rabbit Run Road and west of Progress School Road.  The site is located about 6 miles north west of Bridgeville in Sussex County.   The desired capacity of this well is 500 gpm.

Compass Properties LLC Carl Deputy needs to temporarily construct two dewatering wells that are 40’ deep and 30 feet apart.  These wells are to install a pump station.  The site is on the corners of Fire Tower Road and Turkey Point Road about a mile south of Viola in Sussex County.  The combined capacity of these wells is limited to 400 gpm.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 15 days from this notice.  A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probably impact.
