The annual conservation poster contest provides students an opportunity to convey their thoughts about soil, water, and related natural resources through art. The contest follows the annual Stewardship theme sponsored by the National Association of Conservation Districts. This year’s theme “Where Does Your Water Shed?” encourages people to remember the importance of water and the fact that we all live in a watershed. What we do to the land impacts both the quality and quantity of our water.

The 2014 poster contest will be based on the theme, “The Secrets of Soil.” More information and educational materials will be available on the NACD website at www.nacdnet.org under the Stewardship and Education page.

For more information locally about the poster contest and Conservation District programs, please contact your local Conservation District office – Kent Conservation District at 302-741-2600, Sussex Conservation District at 302-856-3990, or the New Castle Conservation District at 302-832-3100.
