REHOBOTH BEACH (July 13, 2011) – The Indian River Marina hosts its annual Seafood and Arts Festival on Saturday, July 30 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the marina located on the north side of the Indian River Inlet.  There is no admission fee for this event.

Music will be provided by Jimmy G steel drum band from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and by Atiba from 2 to 6 p.m., and children will be entertained by Lollipop the Clown.  Vendors specializing in nautical art will display their creations, and children can take aim at candy-filled piñatas.  A variety of fresh seafood and seafood platters will be available at the marina’s new waterfront café and from Hook ‘Em & Cook ‘Em Bait & Tackle.

Delmarva Board Sport Adventures will be demonstrating their paddle boards, and visitors will have the opportunity to try them out.  The Indian River Life-Saving Station will be presenting the popular Breeches Buoy Drill practiced by the surfmen of the U.S. Life-Saving Service at the turn of the 20th century.

The Indian River Marina is a state-of-the-art facility located on the Indian River Inlet near some of the best fishing grounds on the east coast.  The marina features wet slips, dry storage, fuel dock, boat supply store, café and professional charter fleet.  Boat owners should inquire about availability of seasonal and transient slips and discounts for new and existing customers by calling 302-227-6991.  More information can be found at www.destateparks/marinas.
