Bear man charged with reckless endangering, multiple boating violations
MILLSBORO (Sept. 9, 2011) – DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife Enforcement marine patrol agents on Sept. 3 arrested a Bear man on multiple charges related to an incident aboard a vessel on Rehoboth Bay.
Allan W. Duncan, age 45, of Bear, was arrested and charged with four counts of felony reckless endangering, four counts of reckless operation of a vessel and one count each of offensive touching, negligent operation of a vessel and no wake. Duncan, who had already been committed to Sussex Correctional Institute in Georgetown for unrelated reasons, was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court No. 3 in Georgetown and held on a $21,700 cash bond.
The DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife’s Enforcement Section is charged with achieving public compliance through education and enforcement actions that help conserve Delaware’s fish and wildlife resources and ensure safe boating and public safety.
