Bellevue State Park Hosts Mothers Day Tea at the Cauffiel House
The staff at Bellevue State Park encourages families to bring their mothers, wives and daughters to thebeautiful Cauffiel House Estate to celebrate Mothers Day on Saturday, May 8. A casual tea will be servedat 11 a.m., followed by a guided walking tour of the three-story Colonial-revival style home that overlooks the Delaware River.
Reservations are required for this popular program and will be accepted through Monday, May 3. Those interested may call 302-761-6963. The program fees are $15 per person, and $8 per child under 10. There is no charge for children under 3, but the public is reminded that strollers are not permitted inside the house.
Private tours of the estate are also available for groups of 10 or more. Private tours may be scheduled by calling the Art Center at 302-793-3046. The Cauffiel House is available to the public for corporate meetings and conferences, as well as for weddings, receptions and personal celebrations. The grounds are the perfect setting for a tented outdoor garden wedding.
Bellevue State Park is located at 800 Carr Road in Wilmington, just off of the Marsh Road exit from I-95.
