Cape Henlopen State Park to offer family programs on Sept. 14
LEWES (Sept. 9, 2013) – Cape Henlopen State Park is pleased to offer two fun family programs on Saturday, Sept. 14.
At 10 a.m., adults and children can join park staff to explore the park and search for insects and other creepy crawly critters on the Great Bug Hunt. The program meets at the Seaside Nature Center, costs $2 per person, and is intended for ages 5 and up with a paying adult. To register for the program, call the Nature Center at 302-645-6852. One attendee will win two free tickets to the Children’s Fantasy Trail in October.
At 4 p.m., visitors will enjoy the cool fall air on a hayride through the park. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Nature Center starting at 9 a.m. on the morning of Sept. 14. Tickets are $5 per person, with a limit of six tickets per person. The hayride is intended for ages 7 and older with paying adult.
The Seaside Nature Center is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the free Borrow-A-Bike program is available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting. Park entrance fees are in effect.
