Children’s Concert on at Bellevue State Park
WILMINGTON (Jan 8, 2013) – Bellevue State Park will host a children’s concert with singer-songwriter John Flynn on Sunday, Jan.13 at 1 p.m. in Bellevue Hall.
John Flynn began writing children’s songs when his own children were young. Some of his best-loved songs have been inspired by children, like “My Brother Ricky's For Sale,” based on one young girl's wish.
John and his young audiences will share an hour of interactive and laughter-filled songs, with some thoughtful moments and insights into the creative writing process and social responsibility from a child’s point of view. His song, “Two Wolves” was included in a song compilation that won the 2012 Grammy for Best Children's CD.
Tickets for the concert, held at Bellevue Hall, 911 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, DE 19809, are $7 for adults and children 12 and older, and $5 for children under 12, before Jan. 10. Tickets at the door cost $9 and $7. Tickets may be purchased by calling 302-761-6963. Light refreshments will be served.
