DNREC’s DART yard waste site
will close for grinding maintenance Nov. 15 - 19
BEAR (Nov. 4, 2010) – DNREC’s DART Community Yard Waste site, located on the southwest corner of the intersection of U.S. Route 13 and Route 72 near Bear, will temporarily close for grinding maintenance on Monday, Nov. 15 and will reopen at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 20.
Residents wishing to recycle their yard waste while the DART site is temporarily closed may use the Polly Drummond site near Newark.
Polly Drummond Hill Community Yard Waste Demonstration Site
Regular Hours: Daily; 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., unless otherwise posted.
Located near Newark in the Pike Creek area on Polly Drummond Hill Road about ½ mile north of the Kirkwood Highway.
Commercial businesses, such as landscaping and lawn care companies, as well as municipalities are not eligible to drop-off materials at the DNREC yard waste sites.
The following private businesses offer yard waste drop-off and may charge a fee for services. For more information, please contact each business.
