DNREC’s Polly Drummond yard waste site
will close for grinding maintenance Sept. 27 – Oct. 1
NEWARK (Sept. 17, 2010) – DNREC’s Polly Drummond Hill Community Yard Waste Demonstration Site, located in the Pike Creek area on Polly Drummond Hill Road about a ½ mile north of the Kirkwood Highway, will temporarily close for grinding maintenance on Monday, Sept. 27 and will reopen at 8:30 a.m., Oct. 2.
DNREC’s Community Yard Waste Demonstration Sites:
DART Mid-County Community Yard Waste Demonstration Site.
Regular Hours: Daily; 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., unless otherwise posted.
The site is located on the southwest corner of the intersection of U.S. Route 13 and Route 72 near Bear. (Turn into the DART facility at 1423 S. Dupont Hwy, Bear.)
Polly Drummond Hill Community Yard Waste Demonstration Site
Closed Monday, Sept. 27 through Friday, Oct. 1; Re-opening Saturday, Oct. 2 at 8:30 a.m.
Regular Hours: Daily; 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., unless otherwise posted.
Commercial businesses, such as landscaping and lawn care companies, as well as municipalities are not eligible to drop-off materials at the DNREC yard waste sites.
The following private businesses offer yard waste drop off and may charge a fee for services. For more information, please contact each business.
