DNREC DART Yard Waste Site near Bear to close Oct. 1-5 for maintenance

DOVER (Sept. 24, 2012) – DNREC’s DART Mid-County Community Yard Waste Demonstration site near Bear will close Monday, Oct. 1 through Friday, Oct. 5 for maintenance activities. This site will reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6.

Delaware residents wishing to drop off yard waste when the DART Mid-County site is closed can do so for no fee at either a DNREC or DNREC-sponsored yard-waste drop-off site:  

·      Polly Drummond Hill Community Yard Waste Demonstration Site
Hours: Daily; 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., unless otherwise posted.
This site is located in the Pike Creek area on Polly Drummond Hill Road, about ½ mile north of the Kirkwood Highway

·      Holland Mulch, Inc.
Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. - Noon Saturday
Location: 135 Hay Road, Edgemoor, DE 19809

After maintenance work, the DART Mid-County Community Yard Waste Demonstration Site will resume regular daily hours of 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. unless otherwise posted. The DART Mid-County site is located on the southwest corner of U.S. Route 13 and Route 72 near Bear.
