DNREC now accepting municipal wastewater planning matching grant applications
DOVER (Dec. 29, 2010) – The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control’s Financial Assistance Branch is now accepting applications from Delaware municipalities for wastewater planning matching grants.
Applications can be found online at the Division of Water’s website at http://www.dnrec.delaware.gov/wr/ and must be received by DNREC by Jan. 31, 2011.
The wastewater planning matching grant program is a set-aside in the state’s Clean Water Revolving Fund and designed to assist municipal and county wastewater utilities for funding through Delaware’s Water Pollution Control Revolving Fund. Grant funding is limited to $50,000 annually per successful applicant, and grants can be used to assist municipal and county wastewater utilities in continuing to update facility plans, prepare preliminary engineering reports, or conduct planning studies.
Grant awards will be announced at the Feb. 16, 2011 meeting of Clean Water Advisory Council. Applications must be returned to: DNREC/Office of the Secretary, Financial Assistance Branch, 5 E. Reed Street, Suite 200, Dover, DE 19901.
