DNREC to hold public workshop December 10 about Cleveland
Heights development and Cleveland Avenue landfill site in Newark
The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control in conjunction with the Newark Housing Authority and the City of Newark will hold a public workshop December 10 to provide an update and to answer questions regarding the Cleveland Heights development and Cleveland Avenue landfill site.
The workshop begins at 6 p.m. on the first floor of the Newark City Council Chambers Building, located at 220 Elkton Road.
A collaborative investigation of both sites for soil sampling, groundwater testing and conducting a feasibility study has been undertaken by DNREC’s Site Investigation and Restoration Branch (SIRB), The Newark Housing Authority and the City of Newark.
