DNREC seeks information on deer incident
DOVER (Oct. 20) - DNREC’s Division of Fish and Wildlife Enforcement is requesting information on an incident that occurred on Oct. 17 involving the killing of four deer in southern New Castle County near Townsend.
The incident occurred in the area of Ebenezer Church Road and Vandyke Green Spring Road. At 11:30 p.m., enforcement officers found four deer in a shallow ditch near the roadway. All of deer appeared to be freshly killed with a small caliber rifle.
Anyone with information is requested to contact Capt. John Rutherford at 302-739-6139 ext. 110. A reward of between $500 and $1,000 is available for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of whomever is responsible for the crime. All information will remain confidential.
