The workshops are in preparation for the Notice-of-Intent (NOI) wastewater project solicitation for the 2010 Project Priority List Process. Municipal government representatives, consultant engineers and other interested parties are encouraged to attend a workshop.
At each workshop, DNREC’s Financial Assistance Branch will outline project eligibility and funding requirements, the proposal review process and project ranking criteria. Staff will provide information and instructions and answer technical and financial questions regarding the application process.
The WPCRLF is a multi-million water pollution control revolving loan fund created by the Delaware General Assembly in 1990 to facilitate financing the construction and upgrade of municipal wastewater systems and related projects. Since the program’s inception, fifteen federal capitalization grants and required state matching funds have been awarded. In addition, 42 loans for municipal wastewater projects have been closed for $186 million, and 1,186 loans for non-point source pollution control projects have been closed for $13.49 million.
