Danielle Chavez Returns to Cape Henlopen for Arts in the Park
LEWES (Sept. 13, 2011) – Acclaimed local artist Danielle Chavez returns to Cape Henlopen State Park for another Arts in the Park presentation on Saturday, Sept. 24 from 8 to 11 am. The event will be held in the Fishing Pier Pavilion. There is no fee for the program, however, park entry fees are in effect.
Chavez will demonstrate her painting technique while capturing Cape Henlopen’s coastal landscape. Participants will enjoy watching the images develop on the canvas, and will have the opportunity to ask questions about painting techniques, as well as be inspired by the coast’s beauty.
This program is made possible, in part, by grants from the Delaware Division of Arts, a state agency dedicated to nurturing and supporting the Arts in Delaware, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.
Cape Henlopen State Park is located at 15099 Cape Henlopen Drive in Lewes, one mile from the Cape May – Lewes ferry terminal. More information about this and other programs offered at Cape Henlopen can be found online at www.destateparks.com or by calling the Seaside Nature Center at 302-645-6852.
