Delaware State Parks’ campgrounds open
for special events this weekend
DOVER (Oct. 24, 2014) – Campsites are still available for special events this weekend in Delaware state parks. Children and families attending the 26th Annual Fantasy Trail at Cape Henlopen will enjoy tent camping under the stars at the park’s very popular campground. The Fantasy Trail features trick-or-treating for candy and toys, with storybook characters, singing, magic and more on Oct. 24 and 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Oct. 26 from 6 to 7:30. Children should come in costume, and the program fee is $5 per person.
A bit further south, the campground at Delaware Seashore State Park in Rehoboth has tent and RV sites available for the weekend. The park is close to free parking and shuttle service for Rehoboth’s 25th Annual Sea Witch Halloween and Fiddlers’ Festival. The festival, hosted by the Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce, draws visitors from across the nation. More information about the festival is available at beach-fun.com.
