Delaware Ghost Stories to Be Told at Port Penn on June 27
DELAWARE CITY, Del. - Staff at the Port Penn Interpretive Center invites the public to join noted author and storyteller Ed Okonowicz at 7 p.m. Friday, June 27 for “Delaware Ghost Stories and Legends,” featuring the state’s 10 best haunted and historic tales. Participants will learn more about some of Delaware’s most mysterious haunts, including Fort Delaware, featured on a recent episode of SciFi Channel’s Ghost Hunters. The program is free to the public.
The Port Penn Interpretive Center showcases the folk life and legends of the historic wetland communities along the shores of the Delaware. Self-guided walking tours are available featuring the historic homes of Port Penn, as well as the scenic marshlands surrounding the town.
