Delaware State Parks Free Concert Series Begins in June
DOVER, Del. – Delaware State Parks encourages the public to attend a series of free concerts this summer at parks in New Castle and Kent Counties. The series features a wide range of genres including classics, bluegrass, jazz, rock, reggae and more, so there is truly something for everyone. Concerts begin at 6:30 p.m. Park entry fees are in effect from March 1 through Nov. 30, so a Delaware State Parks Annual Pass makes it even easier to bring the entire family.
Concerts are held at Bellevue State Park in Wilmington on Sundays and Thursdays from June 7 through Aug. 30. Rockford Park in Wilmington hosts the free concerts on Mondays from June 22 through Aug. 10. White Clay Creek State Park concerts are held on Wednesdays from June 10 through Aug. 26 in Newark with a special Labor Day Concert on Monday, Sept. 7. In Kent County, Killens Pond State Park features Friday concerts from June 19 through Aug. 21. All concerts are held outdoors, and blankets and lawn chairs are encouraged.
