Delaware State Parks Offer Lots of Opportunities
to Spend the Day with Dad
DOVER, Del. - State parks all over Delaware have exciting programs to help children celebrate Father’s Day. With events in every county, Delaware State Parks are within easy driving distance. Children can take their dads hiking, boating or to the zoo.
Families can get a behind-the-scenes tour of Fort Delaware, or tour the First State Heritage Park in historic Dover at their own pace with an audio walking tour. The day is capped off with a free concert featuring Almost Fab, a Beatles tribute band.
More information can be found on Delaware State Parks’ website, www.destateparks.com, at each park’s Nature Center, or by calling (302)739-9191. All programs take place on Sunday, June 15.
