Delaware State Parks invites families to "Munch Better,"
have fun and get free gifts at Killens Pond Water Park
FELTON – Delaware State Parks announces the launch of its “Munch Better” program at a free event from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 11 at the Killens Pond Water Park in Felton. The event will feature free water park entrance, music, games and prizes, as well as a visit from Mr. Celery, the Blue Rocks baseball team’s official mascot. The first 300 attendees will receive a lunchbox stuffed with free samples of healthy food items that will be offered in the parks as part of the program.
The Munch Better campaign is designed to promote a healthy lifestyle by offering nutritional foods and beverages at camp stores and in vending machines throughout Delaware State Parks and at the Killens Pond Water Park food concession. Delaware State Parks has partnered with the Delaware Division of Public Health and Nemours Health and Prevention Services to offer the program.
