and fishing pier deck replacement projects complete
d

MILTON (June 8, 2015) – Access to the pedestrian fishing bridge and the fishing pier on the Broadkill River in Milton has reopened following completion of decking surface replacement on each facility, DNREC’s Division of Fish & Wildlife announced today, with the pedestrian fishing bridge project wrapped up ahead of schedule.

Existing wooden deck and handrails were replaced on the fishing bridge and fishing pier, which were originally built in 1992 and have become popular fishing sites for local residents and visitors to the Town of Milton.

The pedestrian fishing bridge crosses the Broadkill River at the Milton Memorial Park and Fish & Wildlife boating access area. The fishing pier is located on the Broadkill River along the downstream side of the Wagamons Pond spillway.

For more information, please call the Fisheries Section at 302-739-9914.
