 First Annual “Woofstock” to be held at Bellevue State Park

WILMINGTON (March 10, 2014) – Delaware State Parks’ first annual “Woofstock” will be held at Bellevue State Park. Participants are invited to bring family and furry friends for a day of fun pet activities, demonstrations, exhibitions and information. “Woofstock” will be held on March 29, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the park’s Figure 8 Barn, located on 800 Carr Road in Wilmington.  

A “Take Me Home Zone,” hosted by local rescue organizations, will provide information about pet adoption and foster care. A variety of crafters will also be on hand, and food will be available for purchase.   

Families and individuals who attend with their pets should be aware that the animal must be under control at all times and on a leash no longer than six feet.  Retractable leashes will not be allowed.  Vendor information is available by calling the Bellevue Special Events Office at 302- 761-6952. Park entrance fees are in effect. 

Delaware State Parks offer a variety of venues for special events, from casual settings, like the Figure 8 Barn, to more formal settings such as Bellevue Hall. There are facilities suited to all types of events, including weddings, showers, reunions, conferences, teas and more.
