Fish and Wildlife Enforcement investigate a shooting near Townsend

TOWNSEND (Nov. 18, 2011) – DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife Enforcement agents are investigating a mid-day shooting Friday at a rural residence on Black Stallion Road near Townsend. The male victim was transported to Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital in Dover and treated for a non-life-threatening bullet wound.

The DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife’s Enforcement Section is charged with achieving public compliance through education and enforcement actions that help conserve Delaware’s fish and wildlife resources and ensure safe boating and public safety. Their work includes investigating boating accidents.

Citizens are encouraged to report fish and wildlife and boating violations to the Delaware Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Section at 302-739-4580.
