Free family afternoon at Cape Henlopen State Park
LEWES (Sept. 18, 2012) – On Tuesday, Sept. 25, from 3 to 6 p.m., families are invited to Cape Henlopen State Park to rediscover all that the park has to offer. Park entrance fees will be waived during this period, and all activities will be free.
Although summer is over, Cape Henlopen State Park remains a great destination to enjoy the outdoors. Visitors are directed to check in at the main Picnic Pavilion for information about guided tours and programs and to learn about opportunities to explore in the Lewes area.
Featured activities include hiking and biking trails, exhibits at the Seaside Nature Center, fishing and kayaking at the Fishing Pier, Fort Miles Battery 519 and many other activities.
