Free Concert Series Begins in June in Delaware State Parks
Delaware State Parks invites families, children and adults to attend free concerts this summer at parks in New Castle and Kent Counties. The series features a wide range of musical styles including classics, bluegrass, jazz, rock, reggae and more, so there is truly something for everyone. Concerts begin at 6:30 p.m. Park entry fees are in effect from March 1 through November 30, so a Delaware State Parks Annual Pass makes it even easier to bring the entire family.
Concerts are held at Bellevue State Park in Wilmington on Sundays and Thursdays from June 6 through August 29. Rockford Park in Wilmington hosts the free concerts on Mondays from June 21 through August 16. White Clay Creek State Park concerts are held on Wednesdays from June 9 through August 25 in Newark with a special Labor Day Concert on Monday, September 6. In Kent County, Killens Pond State Park features Friday concerts from June 18 through August 20. All concerts are held outdoors, and blankets and lawn chairs are encouraged.
