Full Moon Adventures at Cape Henlopen State Park
LEWES (March 2, 2015) – What animals come out after the sun sets? Visitors are invited to explore Cape Henlopen State Park after dark on Friday, March 6 at 7 p.m., for a “Full Moon Hike” to find out. The guided hike begins at the Seaside Nature Center and is designed to enable visitors to look and listen for animals, and learn about their own senses, too.
Participants should dress warmly. The program is intended for ages seven and up with a paying adult, and costs $2 per person. Space is limited and registration is required. For more information and registration, call 302-645-6852.
The Seaside Nature Center is open Wednesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the Borrow-A-Bike program is available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. when the Nature Center is open, weather permitting. Park entrance fees are in effect.
Additional information about programs offered at Cape Henlopen and all of Delaware State Parks can be found at destateparks.com.
