Hearing Set for June 3 on Prime Hook Beach Organization
Permit Applications
A public hearing has been scheduled for 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 3 on the Subaqueous Lands Permit and Coastal Construction Permit applications filed by Prime Hook Beach Organization Inc. to restore sand dunes along the Delaware Bay in Sussex County. The meeting will be held at DNREC’s Richardson and Robbins Building auditorium, 89 Kings Highway, Dover.
The purpose of the meeting is to solicit comments on the permit applications filed by Prime Hook Beach Organization Inc. to restore sand dunes along approximately 7,400 linear feet of beach by scraping approximately 20,500 cubic yards of sand from just above the existing mean low water line of the Delaware Bay and placing it on the dune remnants along Prime Hook Beach, Shorts Beach and Clifton Shores on the Delaware Bay in Sussex County.
The applications and supporting documents can be inspected 8:15 a.m.-4:15 p.m., Monday through Friday, at DNREC’s offices – the Division of Water Resources, Wetlands and Subaqueous Lands Section office for the Subaqueous Lands Permit application, and the Division of Soil and Water Conservation, Shoreline and Waterway Management Section, for the Coastal Construction Permit application – 89 Kings Highway, Dover.
