                                 Hearing Set for Oct. 9 on Ethan M. Rhodes Permit Application

DNREC’s Division of Water Resources will hold a public hearing 6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 9 on the permit application filed by Ethan M. Rhodes to construct a walkway, pier and dock at Lot 1 on the west side of Route 1, just south of Dewey Beach. The meeting will be held at the new DNREC Division of Soil and Water Lewes facility, 901 Pilottown Road, Lewes.

The application requests a permit to construct a three foot by 156 foot walkway over state-regulated wetlands, a three to four foot walkway over sandy beach, a four foot by 150 foot pier with two personal watercraft lifts, and a six foot by 30 foot dock with two free-standing pilings for a boat lift adjacent to the Rehoboth Bay at Lot 1, just south of Dewey Beach.

The application and supporting documents can be inspected 8:15 a.m. - 4:15 p.m., Monday through Friday, at DNREC, Division of Water Resources, Wetlands and Subaqueous Lands Section, 89 Kings Highway, Dover.

Comments can be presented orally or in writing at the pubic hearing. Written statements can also be submitted prior to the hearing and should be addressed to: Division of Water Resources, Wetlands and Subaqueous Lands Section, 89 Kings Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
