Hounds and History Walk set for Aug. 25 at Fort DuPont
DELAWARE CITY (Aug. 23, 2013) – The interpretive staff at Fort DuPont State Park invites the public to enjoy a special walk along with their good-natured canine companions. The walk, scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, includes a discussion of historic uses of the many buildings as well as plans for their future adaptive reuse.
Human participants should wear comfortable walking shoes and bug spray is recommended. Canine friends should play well with others, have proof of all necessary shots, and be on a leash.
The program meets at the gate to the Fort DuPont fishing point, located on Wilmington Avenue. There is no charge for the program.
