Join Nature Photo Walk at the Delaware National
Estuarine Research Reserve on April 9
Nature and photography enthusiasts of all ages are invited to attend a free program 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 9 that explores the St. Jones Reserve through the eyes of a camera. Bring your camera, join a naturalist and a volunteer nature photographer, and hike along the marshes of the St. Jones River near Dover. You’ll discover the emerging plants and wildlife of one of Delaware’s most unique estuaries.
The photo walk will meet at the St. Jones Reserve located at 818 Kitts Hummock Road in Dover (just south of the Dover Air Force Base). Wear comfortable shoes, dress for the weather and bring your own camera. No strollers, please.
Registration is required by April 6 by contacting Jennifer Holmes or Kim Cole at (302) 739-3436.
The Delaware National Estuarine Research Reserve is a partnership between the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The program is administered through the Delaware Coastal Programs in DNREC’s Division of Soil and Water Conservation. For more information on the Reserve, visit www.swc.delaware.gov.
